Jelle Terpstra, P.Eng – President
On September 15, 2010 Jelle took over as President of Cartwright Drilling Inc. and became responsible for all operations. Jelle has been active in the development of Cartwright Drilling Inc. from a one-drill operation in 1995 to our present day accomplishments.
From Incorporation in May 1995 until September 14, 2010 Jelle had been Secretary-Treasurer of Cartwright Drilling Inc. As such he was largely responsible for administration and compliance but also in bid preparation and contract planning and implementation.
From 1974 until 2007 Jelle operated his own consulting engineering firm Terpstra Engineering Limited first in St. John’s, NL and later in Goose Bay, NL. He retired from this career in 2007.
Dwayne Green – Chief Mechanic
Dwayne joined Cartwright Drilling in 2007 as Chief Mechanic. He is responsible for fabrication of new drill rigs, maintenance and improvement of existing rigs, and he oversees our warehouse staff.
Leonard Butt – Branch Manager – Thunder Bay Operations
In September 2010, Cartwright Drilling Inc. opened a Branch Office in Thunder Bay, ON. Our Branch Manager, Leonard Butt has been with Cartwright Drilling since 2006 when he first joined us a Diamond Driller. He quickly moved up the ranks becoming Senior Foreman for Multi-Rig Contracts in Canada and Overseas.
He is currently responsible for all drilling operations in Ontario.

Jennifer Saunders – Office Manager
Jennifer joined Cartwright Drilling in March 2006 as Office Manager. She is responsible for all Goose Bay Office, Warehouse and Workshop Staff. She also has responsibility for all payroll systems in Canada and overseas, all accounts payable, all travel arrangements, charters, all banking and accounts receivable, and much of the ordering and expediting.
